Google TV – the next big thing?
In a connected world, will there really still be borders between different types of media in the future? I don’t think so and neither does Google.
Bringing the internet to the TV at home is not new at all, in fact it has been discussed for some years and implemented in some hardware for a longer time now. But combining the richness of choice that comes with the internet with the core competency that Google has – finding things and sorting out unstructured data for you – will, as a filter for our behaviour and preferences, become more and more important in a world that is cluttered with almost unlimited choices. I’m looking forward to see Google TV, or even other comparable platforms, being implemented.
